Saturday's BLUE contains music by Enriqué Granados, on the anniversary of his birth; the extraordinary sound of Cajun fiddler Harry Choates; a tune about Jimmy Cobb's sister "Eleanor", in advance of the legendary jazz drummer's live appearance in Dublin on Tuesday; Robert Fripp and Theo Travis (see video) "Return To Saturn"; and Vladimir Ashkenazy plays Mussorgsky. We'll also hear ex-Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett; 3 recordings featuring the harp (including one from Stevie Wonder's "Songs In The Key Of Life" release); samples of 2 choral works by Eric Whitacre, a composer who's being featured on the programme this week; and a re-invention of a Feist song by the Julia Hulsmann Quartet.
