Sunday's BLUE gathers more seemingly-disparate elements and ties them in a neat little bundle: Ella Fitzgerald sings a song by the late Jack Bruce; we hear Belfast-born Michael McHale (see video), in advance of the pianist's appearance in Castleconnell, Co Limerick on Tuesday; the voice of Dubliner Riona Sally Hartman; lesser-known works by Aleksander Zarzycki, William Wallace and Emil Mlynarski; sax-player Art Pepper, from the re-issue of "Smack Up"; and the last 2 pieces of the week by Franz Liszt.
